Joanne Kinsey is Director of School Nutrition Services for the Chesapeake Public Schools. The district has 47 schools with a student enrollment of 40,000 in grades K-12. She has been a professional educator for thirty years. Joanne is very active in the School Nutrition Association (SNA) and currently serves as the Education Chair for SNA.
Joanne has been recognized at the local, state and national levels for excellence. 2003-2004: Pennsylvania Outstanding Food Service Director of the year; 2006: Lauretta Woodson Award for exemplary service to the Allentown School District and Citizens of the Commonwealth of PA; 2009 - FAME Golden Star Award for Foodservice Director of the Year. And in 2010 Joanne was awarded the IFMA Silver Plate for K-12 and Outstanding Director of the Year for the School Nutrition Association of Virginia.

Wanda Grant

Wanda Grant has over 30 years of professional experience as Director of Child Nutrition in various States and Districts and holding numerous positions in related professional organizations.
Wanda is the Child Nutrition Director at Palm Springs Unified School District. In her role as Child Nutrition Director, she has received National Recognition as “Outstanding Director of the Year” among many State and Local awards. She has increased outreach for the Free and Reduced Breakfast and Lunch Programs, increased participation in the Summer Meal Program, applied and written numerous grants to implement Nutrition Education and supports professional development and advancement of Child Nutrition Programs locally, regionally and nationally.

Carol Chong, M.A.,R.D.,L.D.N.

Carol Chong is a Registered Dietitian and the Director of Food and Menu for the Food and Nutrition Department of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools. She has over 30 years of experience as an RD. Her experience includes dietary services in hospitals, spas, education specialist and adjunct professor at both the Pratt Institute and Miami-Dade College.
Carol received the FAME Silver Rising Star in 2002 by the School Nutrition Association. She has also received USDA Best Practice Award for Nutrition Education in 2001 and 2002 for Creative Implementation of SMI and Promoting a Healthy School Environment respectively.

Bryan Mullen

Bryan Mullen is the Managing Director of Meal Programs for E S Foods. His efforts are focused on the Top 100 school districts, espousing the adoption and expansion of alternate site breakfast.
Bryan joined E S Foods from MTV/Nickelodeon Kids & Family, where he was Vice President, Ad Sales. Prior to that he worked in sales and strategic planning for Disney Kids Network, AOL/Time Warner and CBS. In those roles he provided multi-media marketing solutions for clients interested in reaching the kids, tweens and families demographics. His clients included: Johnson & Johnson, Dannon, Hasbro, Warner Bros., Subway, Staples, ConAgra Foods, EA Sports and Hyundai/Kia. |

Sally Spero, SNS

Sally Spero has over 25 years of experience in the child nutrition field and is currently the Food Planning Supervisor for the San Diego Unified School District. San Diego Food Services has received many accolades and awards from groups such as the USDA Western Regional Office (for summer feeding programs), the California School Boards Association (for elementary programs and Breakfast in the Classroom), the Whole Grains Council, and the Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine. She has written numerous articles and has made presentations on school meal programs for local, state and national groups. She is recipient of the 2009 FAME Silver Spirit Award, recognizing a person in a management position who has made a significant contribution to the child nutrition field.

Anthony Geraci

Anthony Geraci is the Director of Food and Nutrition for Baltimore City Public Schools. He recently relocated to Baltimore from New Hampshire where he was the developer and Executive Director of First Course; a culinary training and job placement program for people who are developmentally disabled or recovering from substance abuse or mental illness. Tony is also a chef, a food service consultant, and the former food Service Director for the Con-Val School District in southwestern NH. He has been an enthusiastic supporter, practitioner and architect of the National Farm-to-School movement.
He was also featured in the film “Angry Moms,” a documentary about the national school lunch program. His New Hampshire program was cited as a “Best Practices” example of one of the most innovative approaches to school nutrition in the nation. Tony’s work has been featured in Gourmet Magazine, The Atlantic, Urbanite, The Diane Rehm Show, the Food Network, The Washington Post and a host of other radio, print and television appearances.

Dr. Vista Suarez

Dr. Suarez is a Registered Dietitian and has been employed as the Director of Nutrition Services for Memphis City Schools since December 2008. She also has experience as a food service director for Richmond Public Schools, a School Nutrition Services Administrator with Orange county Public Schools in Orlando, FL and as a Nutrition Program Consultant with the Nevada Department of Education in Las Vegas, NV.
Vista has presented at national conferences in Las Vegas, NV, Chicago, IL; St. Louis, MO and Denver, CO. She has publications in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Education and the Journal of Allied Health. Her professional activities include: the American Dietetic association, School Nutrition Association, American School Foodservice Legislative Action (past); ADA Mentoring and Diversity Summit (past).

Kymm Mutch, MS, RD, LCD

Kymm Mutch is a registered dietitian and has been the administrator for the Milwaukee Public Schools School Nutrition Services program since 2006. Before coming to MPS Kymm started the N.E.W. Kids program at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, a program designed to work with children who have medical complications due to overweight. Kymm completed her master’s degree in systems theory and mental health counseling and has 25 years experience as a dietitian working gin non-profit organizations focusing on child and adolescent nutrition.
Kymm is a member of the School Nutrition Association and serves on the Legislative Action Committee for the state of Wisconsin. She is also the parent of an eleven year old MPS student who provides daily feedback about the meals in MPS.

Jon Dickl MBA, SNS

Jon Dickl is the Director of Food Nutrition Services for Knox County Schools in Knoxville, TN. Knox County schools has 87 campuses with over 57,000 students. John has nearly 30 years foodservice industry experience, 13 in child nutrition including serving as Director of the School Way Café for Volusia County (FL), where he oversaw almost 70 school food service operations for a district that serves some 50,000 meals a day. In 2007 while foodservice director at Highlands (FL) County Public Schools, he received a Silver Rising Star award as part of the 2007 FAME Awards.
Jon currently serves as the Treasurer of the Tennessee School Nutrition Association (TSNA). His past offices in TSNA include both Nutrition and Marketing Chair. He is an active speaker at both state and national School Nutrition Association conferences. In conjunction with this school foodservice career Dickl has experience in distributor, manufacturer, and commodity-processing sales.

Tami Cline, PhD, RD, SNS

Tami has over twenty years of experience in the nutrition and foodservice industry. As a dietitian and former school foodservice director, she has a keen insight into both nutrition and policy issues facing dietetic professionals.
Tami has hands-on experience with school foodservice programs, marketing, and event planning through her experience with the Boston Public Schools, National Dairy Council, Schwan’s Food Service, School-Link Technologies, and now Cline Consulting. Cline Consulting specializes in assisting companies and organizations to develop and market products and services for school foodservice programs.
She has a PhD degree in Foodservice and Lodging Management from Iowa State University, a MS degree in Nutrition from Boston University, and a BS degree in Food Science and Nutrition from Colorado State University. She has earned key professional certifications: Registered Dietitian, Fellow of the American Dietetic Association, and School Nutrition Specialist. During her career she has been active in the American Dietetic Association and School Nutrition Association.

Steve Gallagher

Steve Gallagher is the Director of Child Nutrition at Oklahoma City PS. He has 25 years experience in the food service industry. The first 10 years were in restaurants and hotels. The last 15 have been as a school food service director in Texas and Oklahoma. He has been at OKCPS for 5 years. Steve’s goal is to create an enjoyable and nutritional meal experience for all students, faculty and staff. He concentrates on meeting the schools expectations for the budget, level of service and training associates to provide quality service. Steve is a ServSafe instructor and has a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Northern Arizona University. He also holds the Food Management Protection certification. He currently serves on the board of the Oklahoma School Nutrition Association.

Cecilia Enault

Cecilia Enault is a licensed, registered dietitian and the Coordinator of Child Nutrition for Jefferson Parish Public Schools in Louisiana. Her experience in Child Nutrition began at New Orleans Public Schools where she oversaw operations for 35 campuses. Cecilia then gained invaluable experience by working for both a food broker and distributor. She served as Vice President for Conoco Food Service Distribution for over 15 years.
Cecilia brings her knowledge of marketing, distribution and Child Nutrition to Jefferson Parish Public, where she oversees the operations to serve 12,000 breakfasts and 29,000 lunch meals daily. She is an active participant in both her State and National Professional organizations. She is a member of American Dietetic Association, Louisiana Dietetic Association and the New Orleans Dietetic Association and School Nutrition Association. She has served as NODA President, President-elect, Newsletter Publisher, Nominating Committee. In the Louisiana Dietetic Association she has served as Annual Meeting Committee Member, Allied Group Representative, Annual Meeting Sponsor and Exhibitor And she is a current member of the Louisiana Board of Examiners in Dietetics and Nutrition. |
